- The National Association for Gifted Children is an organization for professionals and parents that provides a variety of news, research, and resources. Click here to find suggestions for professional development within a school and evaluation of programs. For national standards, click here.
- National Society for the Gifted and Talented is an organization that provides resources for educators and encourages gifted children.
- The Davidson Institute for Talent Development provides multiple services for gifted students. Not only do they have free services for students and their parents, they award students who have completed a significant piece of work scholarships so that they are able to attend summer programs (known as the Davidson Fellows Scholarships). Criteria for applying can be found here!
- Hoagies' Gifted Education Page provides a great overview of everything you might need to know about gifted students. The site also keeps you up-to-date on current research in gifted education.
Curriculum SuggestionsThe following are suggestions for curriculum for teachers of the gifted. Effective curriculum should include preassessments, open-ended questioning, real- world application, independent research, and engage students. These are all aspects of effective curriculum that truly challenges students.

3. MENSA's gifted youth lesson plans created using higher level thinking. 4. Exquisite Minds curriculum suggestions from a variety of sources. Be sure to evaluate what lessons on the criteria mentioned above since some suggestions are not specific for gifted learners. 5. NAGC teacher's corner focuses on specific themes used to create interdisciplinary units based on interests students may have. 6.
